A Childhood Love Rekindled

In a remote, secluded village by a small creek, the once-in-ten-years blessing ritual is about to begin. Just before the ceremony starts, a villager informs the village chief that the children chosen as sacrificial offerings have escaped! In the woods, the children flee for their lives. Suddenly, the boy twists his ankle, and the girl, determined to protect him, distracts the villagers on her own. As the girl and boy say their goodbyes, the girl leaves the boy a stone pendant, to serve as a token for their reunion when they grow older.
