Xie Bin, a genius chemist, and his neighbor Wen Ping are betrayed: his wife Jiang Juanjuan and her husband Zhao Gang commit adultery and then frame them. Zhao Gang attacks Xie Bin, who fakes his death for a research institute. Wen Ping raises his children. He returns after three years.
